Chilwell School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Geography to join our team. The role is available on either a full-time or 0.8 FTE basis, offering flexibility for the successful candidate.
We are seeking an excellent classroom practitioner who is passionate about Geography and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for pupils of all abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, monitoring pupil progress and using assessment effectively to ensure that all pupils are supported and challenged to achieve their best.
You will join a collaborative team and will be expected to contribute to the continued development of teaching and learning within the faculty and the wider life of the school. You will have high expectations of pupils, create a positive and purposeful learning environment and build strong professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
We are looking for someone who holds Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree, and who demonstrates a strong understanding of high-quality teaching, assessment and effective intervention strategies. You will need excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, the ability to adapt your teaching to meet a range of needs, and a commitment to securing positive outcomes for all pupils, including those with SEND.
