A Level success

Hard work and commitment at Chilwell school have led to a strong set of results in 2019. With just under half of grades at A*, A or B, the school is delighted that students are well placed for the next stage of their education.

Headteacher David Phillips said, “We are very proud of our students and I am delighted that so many of them have done well. As a school we provide small class sizes, strong support and a wealth of opportunities and these results show what can be achieved. We have top grades across the curriculum and this is a testament to the hard work of the students, the commitment of our staff and the environment in which our students flourish.”

Charlie CalderA number of students achieved a string of As and A*s across the board.  Charlie Carder was one of these, achieving A grades in English literature, history and sociology. Charlie is now ready to start a history degree at Nottingham University. Charlie said “I am really surprised!” although his teachers pointed to his sustained hard work and commitment over the last two years.
