September start of term

Our plans for the start of term have changed as result of the requirement for schools to undertake two lateral flow tests with students before the full start of term. Our new arrangements are below.

Tuesday 31st August - Whole school testing

8:30 -10:00 Year 7 Y7 LFT testing (and fingerprints for cashless catering)
10:00 - 11:00 Post-16 P16 new students - fingerprints taken for cashless catering
11:20 -12:20 Year 8 In school for testing only
12:20 - 1:20 Year 9 In school for testing only
1:45 - 2:45 Year 10 In school for testing only
2:45 - 3:45 Year 11 In school for testing only

No uniform required for students.


Wednesday 1st / Thursday 2nd September

No students in school


 

Friday 3rd September - whole school testing and timetables

8:30 -10:00 Year 7 Y7 testing and then remain in school all day with tutors (all year seven students to be in school by 8.50am) Lunch available in school for Y7
10:00 - 11:00 Post-16 P16 testing and then with tutors into period 2 (y12 in school all day) Lunch available in school for P16
11:20 -12:20 Year 8 Testing and meet with tutor and collect timetable and planner Leave site after meeting with tutor
12:20 - 1:20 Year 9 Testing and meet with tutor and collect timetable and planner Leave site after meeting with tutor
1:45 - 2:45 Year 10 Testing and meet with tutor and collect timetable and planner Leave site after meeting with tutor

2.15 - 2.45 (meet with tutor)

2:45 - 3:45 (testing)

Year 11 Meet with tutor and collect timetable and planner, followed by testing Leave site after testing

Year seven students in uniform - uniform not required for other students

Monday 6th September - all students in school

8.55am - Regular timetable starts


Further communication

All parents will receive a message the week before term starts with the precise time within the time windows above when students are expected to arrive at school.
