Chilwell School is seeking to appoint an outstanding and ambitious teacher to join our thriving Maths and Computing Faculty as Second in Faculty (Maths).
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey, supporting the Head of Faculty in driving high standards of teaching, learning and achievement across all key stages.
As Second in Faculty, you will play a key role in supporting the leadership and strategic development of Maths across the school. You will contribute to raising attainment, strengthening teaching and learning, and ensuring all pupils make excellent progress.
The successful candidate will:
- Assist and deputise for the Head of Faculty where appropriate
- Lead on standards of teaching and learning within the faculty
- Support assessment and monitoring procedures at Key Stage 4
- Analyse progress data to identify underachievement and implement effective interventions
- Review and develop KS4 schemes of learning
- Work collaboratively to ensure consistent, high-quality provision across the department
