Welcome to Chilwell School

Share, Care, Believe, Achieve

13th October 2023

On Thursday we held settling in meetings with parents of year seven students. It was an opportunity to get an update on the first few weeks and raise any questions with form tutors. At the end of the week we were pleased to have a visit from a group of ex students who had been in the original cohort of students starting at the school in 1972.

Cross Country

On Wednesday, Mr Lodge and Mr Gregson took a group of Chilwell School runners to Hall Park Academy in Eastwood for the Broxtowe Cross Country event. It was a very wet and blustery afternoon but our students produced a set of excellent results!

Activities Week

Activities week is going LIVE next Thursday. There are still a number of families who have not yet registered for iPay. In order to secure places and pay deposits families MUST do this through iPay. We will not be accepting cash deposits or payments of any kind.

Uniform

A reminder that as we move more towards the colder and wetter months, that our uniform expectations remain in place. Hoodies are not acceptable.

Sixth form open evening and taster day

We look forward to next Thursday's taster day where year eleven students will look at post sixteen opportunities. Some students will be visiting colleges and others taking part in A level taster lessons. Our sixth form open evening will take place on the same day from 6.30pm in the theatre.

**PLEASE NOTE** Calls may be monitored or recorded for training and quality purposes.
