Chilwell musicians excel in Broxtowe CCities project!
The CCities Blues is a celebration of Broxtowe and the Cultural Cities programme by individual musicians, bands, choirs, and ensembles from across Broxtowe. Seven participating groups submitted their own compositions and recordings which have been expertly edited into a Broxtowe mashup by Stephen Sherrif and Georgianna Scurfield.
Our students devised theirs from the ground up in an internal workshop and filming before being selected to take part in a professional session.
Pleasingly, some of our work has also been used to underpin some of the other groups submissions on the final video. Our contribution was a whole school one, using students from y7 to y12. Students had the hard task of creating a version from scratch, devising all parts and lyrics. The students did all the work themselves and deserve great credit for the creation and then the multitrack session.
