Rugby

We have had coaches in from Nottingham rugby this term. This has been a catalyst for a lot of enthusiasm regarding playing rugby both in and out of school.
Mr Lodge has contacts at Long Eaton, Nottingham Casuals and Corsairs rugby clubs if your child is interested in joining a team.
We are looking for more friendly fixtures against Alderman White after Christmas and are looking to get specialist coaches in to help support a rugby club after school.

Sixth form applications

Students in year eleven have been confirming sixth form applications for Lakeview at Chilwell for September 2024. We are also meeting with external applicants and we welcome further applications from students who want to study with us. Please follow this link for applications.

Christmas events

We have a number of upcoming events in the final week of term. On Wednesday 20th we will hold our annual "Wear something Christmassy" to raise money for Save the Children - uniform is not required. We will also be serving Christmas dinner on this day. Students will be able to get theirs just as they would get their normal lunch. Payments will be taken via ipay. On Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, our year sevens will also get the opportunity to see a Christmas pantomime.

We are also really pleased to have nearly fifty students attending the University of Nottingham engineering and science learning centre on Monday 18th for their Christmas lecture and science activities.

Book fair

The Scholastic book fair is coming to Chilwell between 13th and 18th December.  It will be based in the library.The book fair is a large set of travelling bookcases. Prices range from 50p to £25.  We can only take cash for these items.

End of this term and start of next

A further reminder that we will end this term on Friday 22nd December at 12.00pm and start next term for students at 8.40am on Monday 8th January. The school bus has been rescheduled for the last day of term (Friday, 22 December 2023) to 12.00pm and will leave school at 12.10pm -12.15pm.
