Welcome to Chilwell School

Share, Care, Believe, Achieve

21st April 2023

School has resumed this week with only a few weeks now to the start of the formal examination season. Practical and oral examinations are already taking place in art, drama and modern languages and revision sessions are busy.

On Thursday of this week, Mr Jay and I met with families of students starting in September. We are excited to welcome our new starters and the next few months will have a range of activities to support the transition from primary school. All transition information can be found on our dedicated pages.

Social eating

We are pleased to share the social eating sessions that are taking place through Broxtowe Community Projects. This is a new project of weekly sessions at Chilwell Scout hall where a communal meal is prepared with volunteers and eaten together.  The sessions are open to anyone with need or interest, children can attend with adult supervision or adults can come alone. The first session was last Friday and will run weekly. In addition, for anyone who wishes to volunteer and assist with this programme, please follow this link.

Strike action

Information on the provision that we have on the days of industrial action can be found here. The school will have examination year groups in school and we continue to rotate the provision for other year groups.

**PLEASE NOTE** Calls may be monitored or recorded for training and quality purposes.
