Welcome to Chilwell School

Share, Care, Believe, Achieve

15th October 2021

As we reach the end of the half-term, I wish all our families a restful break. We look forward to seeing our students back on Monday 1st November.

FSM vouchers

We have been able to issue FSM vouchers to families for over this half-term break. This is as a result of a grant received via the local authority. Families should now have received these.

Examinations

We have sent out to year eleven, twelve and thirteen students and their parents information on the proposals for examinations in the summer of 2022. There will be further and more specific information in February of 2022

Football boots exchange

Mr Lodge has asked me to remind parents about our football boot exchange scheme. It works very simply in that if you have football boots that are too small, bring them in and swap them for a larger pair. This has been operating successfully in the past and goes some way to easing the cost of replacement boots.

Activities week

We are really pleased that plans are in place for our activities week in July 2022. We are really looking forward to having in place again one of the key elements of the provision at Chilwell school. Following a presentation to students in registration, further information has been sent home via WeDuc and can be found here.

Children in Need

This is planned for Friday 12th November. We plan to raise funds via a non-uniform day. We will give you further information after half-term.

Health

We have today issued all students with a further supply of LFT kits for the half-term break. In addition, we have been informed that flu vaccinations are available for all students and that these can be booked through the vaccination service. We will be in touch shortly with further information on this.

Best wishes and stay safe.
