26th May 2023

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity and within a few hours, our year elevens will have reached the last part of their formal lessons with us.

Today is an opportunity for the first of the events that see our year elevens move to the next stage of their life. Today will be a day of smiles and tears but also excitement about the next few weeks, the end of year assembly and prom that lie ahead and the expectation of results over the summer which lead to the next set of challenges.

Of course in the meantime there are the remaining examinations which will take our year elevens and year thirteens to the end of their current chapter.

Cygnus

We are already starting the process of planning for the enhancement programme for next year and I had the pleasure of watching our current drama production taking shape in Cygnus on Wednesday. The Duke of Edinburgh silver and gold candidates yesterday presented their projects and in a couple of weeks the bronze candidates will undertake their final expedition.

Half-term break

I wish all our families a good break for the next week. Students with examinations will have plenty to keep them occupied and thank you to families who are supporting them through this time.
