Our vision…

Our aim is to develop a passion for foreign language learning amongst pupils of all abilities by using a wide range of resources and technologies to meet the needs of each individual. With the importance of the global economy, we are determined that our students will leave us as 21st century global citizens, interested in other cultures and relishing the opportunities to communicate in another language.

Year nine french

Course Overview

In Year 9 pupils specialise in either French or German

During year 9 we will be learning how to use the perfect tense of verbs with avoir and être and words and phrases referring to the past in a variety of topics. They will be able to describe illnesses and other health problems and possible remedies and give information about healthy lifestyle (past, present, future).  They will also be able to discuss clothes and fashion, styles and materials and give their opinions. Pupils will also describe TV programmes and films and be able to understand and write a film review.
