Apprentice Receptionist & Administration Assistant

12 month Fixed Term Contract

37 hours per week

  • Aged 16 to 18: £4.30 per hour.

  • Aged 19 or over and in your first year: £4.30 per hour.

  • Aged 19 or over and have completed your first year: You’re entitled to the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage rate for your age.

We are seeking to recruit a Receptionist & Administration Assistant Apprentice. This is an ideal opportunity if you are interested in administration, and you enjoy working with young people. You will provide front of house support for the school and be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Apprenticeship summary

  • Provide reception cover, including but not limited to; telephony, internal and external post, answering internal and external stake-holder queries, signing in visitors and contractors, ensuring safeguarding checks and ID checks are undertaken, filing, and any other administrative support commensurate with the post.

  • SIMS: attendance marks / absence notes

  • Use IT systems to run financial reports and other data analysis

  • Keep paper and electronic records up to date

  • Use reprographic equipment

  • Collate and create reports

  • Provide administrative support for the school as part of the office administration team 

  • Participate in performance review as part of an entitlement of all staff.

  • Be aware of and support differences, and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

  • Appreciate and support the role of other professionals.

  • Attend relevant meetings as required.

  • Participate in training, other learning activities and performance development as required.

  • Accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as required
