Do you have a genuine interest in motivating and encouraging young people to achieve their full potential in education, employment and training?
We are seeking an experienced, independent careers advisor to work two days a week for 39 weeks per year. You will be required to work both GCSE and A-level results days in August but in return will not work the last week of the summer term.
As a careers adviser you will provide personalised information, advice and guidance to help and inspire our students to make realistic choices about their education, training and work. You will deal with a range of ages, from 13 to 19.
You will help to identify options for suitable careers, build CVs, identify skills and qualities, and advise on where to search for jobs and apprenticeships, locate relevant courses and help with the application process.
The successful candidate will possess a degree and/or a relevant guidance qualification to at least Level 4, although Level 6 would be desirable. Experience of providing careers guidance to young people is also required.
