Our students in year eleven and thirteen have now completed the first week of mock examinations and they have been calm, purposeful and organised. Well done to all of them.
We are looking forward to the last two weeks of term as there are lots of events as well as the opportunity for our year elevens and thirteens to be demonstrating everything they know in their mock examinations.
We have been holding a series of rugby training events this week. We are really pleased with the network of clubs and sporting associations with whom we have links and the opportunities for our students.

On Thursday we held settling in meetings with parents of year seven students. It was an opportunity to get an update on the first few weeks and raise any questions with form tutors. With open evening this week, sixth form open evening in two weeks and a successful football game on Thursday, there have been lots of opportunities for families to join us on site and see what happens on a daily basis at Chilwell School.
This week has seen the start of our Cygnus provision and extending the opportunities for our students. In addition, we have been reviewing with subject and faculty leaders our provision and outcomes from last year so that we continue to maintain and develop strong results.
