Welcome to Chilwell School

Share, Care, Believe, Achieve

Thank you and best wishes

In the turbulent times we have faced over the past few days, thank you for the messages of support and appreciation we have received. They have given the staff strength and comfort as we try to do the same for our students and families. We include a selection below:

Hello Ms,

Just want to say how grateful we all are that we got to say goodbye to the past few years of our life, and although it wasn’t the leavers' day our committee had worked so hard to plan it was good for us to have some sense of finality to the past five. Thank you for being there with us every step of the way for the past few years, telling us all we’re gonna be off to sixth form and college before we know it and you were right. Time few by so fast and I still remember you picking me up on my first day at school, it was scary and exciting but I couldn’t have had better staff to support me throughout the years. Thanks to the rest of the staff in Chilwell for guiding us through our education, to our tutors for teaching us rights and wrongs and to Mr Phillips for allowing us to have yesterday and for keeping us updated in this challenging time.

We’re so lucky to have such role models and front liners as our teachers. Looking forward to prom and the rest of my time in Chilwell in the sixth form.

To whomever it may concern,
I would like to say thank you for the delivery of the Tesco food voucher today. I am very grateful for this act of support during this time.
No need to reply - sure you're all very busy.

I just wanted to send a message of thanks to you and all the staff for the calm and professional way you have dealt with the current health crisis.

I am sure it has not been at all calm at school and having seen the website launched today, with all the learning resources, it is evident the staff must have been working round the clock for several weeks. It’s very impressive.

My daughter is in year seven so we are still new to secondary school life and do not have the worry of delayed exams as some children and parents do. My daughter seems quite excited by the prospect of online learning and we will do our best to ensure that the next few weeks/months are educational as well as enjoying some family time together.

I hope you all manage to have a well deserved rest when the official Easter holidays begin and let’s hope this awful time  soon ends and we can return to normal life.

To everyone at Chilwell school.

Thank you for all the calm and measured advice you have provided over the last few weeks for my child and myself.

Good luck planning at this really difficult time.

Take care all of you
